Kenneth Stella
Kenneth G. (Ken) Stella has over forty years of experience in healthcare administration including the ten years he served as Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Hospital & Medical Center in Martinsville, Indiana. Today, Mr. Stella serves as President Emeritus of the Indiana Hospital Association, where he also served as President from 1984 to 2007.Mr. Stella holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Health Administration from Indiana University where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Visitors of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Mr. Stella also serves on the advisory committee for the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering at Purdue University as well as the board of trustees of Lincoln Variable Insurance Products Trust and the community advisory board of Harris Bank. Mr. Stella is recognized throughout Indiana and the nation for his leadership in influencing healthcare legislation.
John Stewart
John Stewart is the CEO of the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana (SVHCI), located in Carmel, Indiana. Mr. Stewart joined the team at SVHCI as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2004. Since this point, SVHCI has become one of the leading cardiovascular-focused hospitals, ranking #1 in the state of Indiana and top 5% of hospitals in the nation for overall cardiac services as ranked by HealthGrades. Mr. Stewart has over 20 years experience in cardiac service line leadership in highly competitive markets including Northwest Florida, the San Francisco Bay area and Indianapolis, Indiana.Prior to joining SVHCI, he worked with Health Evolutions, a healthcare consulting company based in Indianapolis, supporting clients in the areas of the cardiovascular service line and disease management. Prior to Health Evolutions in January 2001, Mr. Stewart served as Administrative Director for the Regional Heart & Vascular Institute of the Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola Florida. He previously held similar cardiovascular service line leadership positions in other Daughters of Charity facilities in California.
Mr. Stewart started his healthcare career as a respiratory care practitioner specializing in neonatal intensive care in Louisville, KY and San Francisco, CA. He attended Western Kentucky University majoring in Mass Communications and achieved degrees in Allied Health Sciences and Health Services Administration from the University of Louisville. Mr. Stewart is a member of the American College of Cardiovascular Administrators and the Society of Chest Pain Centers, and he is recognized for his accomplishments and speaks nationally on topics such as specialty hospitals, cardiac service line operational improvement, quality improvement, physician and hospital relations, and strategic planning.
